Score = 8.9 / 10

Positive
- One of the best interactive movie game ever supported by a superb story
- Great playable characters
- Awesome voice acting
- Music is pretty good
- Really exciting

Negative
- Something graphics look bad
- The story doesn't start so well
- First half of the story is superb, but then the game feels rushed and takes an agsesserate step

This is possibly is best interactive movie ever made. The game might not be impressive on graphics but a superb story, high quality cutscenes make this game an awesome one. Indigo Prophecy has a particular gameplay system, which is unique and interesting but sometimes might become frustrating. You won't only play as the first guy only, which is the 'killer', but also as 2 police agents. This game starts a bit strange and ugly, but after sometime it becomes a very enjoyable adventure game.

One of the playable characters is Lucas Kane. You will first begin with him, when you are in a bar's bathroom, where Lucas come out from the bathroom stall and kills a man. The answer is why did he kill him? You will know when you play the game. The other characters are Tyler Miles and Carla Valenti, which are detectives on this murder. You can mostly switch from Carla to Tyler throughout the game. There are some other characters which you play little part with them.

Say hello to Lucas

The gameplay system is a bit strange. When you are at the first place in Indigo Prophecy, you must try to leave no evidence behind you. You simply have to go near an item, like near the mirror and at the top of the screen something will appear. It will either indicate up, down, left or right. You have to move your right analog stick to that direction he points to do that action. Sometimes there are more than 1 or 2. It's interesting, if it wasn't you should stop, 'cos that is what the game mostly consist of. There are tons of them. How to get game over. At the beginning of the game, you must be fast to leave the murder scene, if you don't a cop will enter. If you left the body there, he will arrest you immediately. If you hide the body he will ask you if you're hurt and then he sees the body, and then he arrests you. There are tons of these. If you press O when in control of a character a small bar will appear in the bottom right. This indicates the moral of the person. If this goes too low, it's game over. In order to make it go up, you have to do things that help your character motivate. Like relax or watch TV. Many things help but you need to be careful. There is also something which I didn't really like in the game. It's not so annoying but might become. I'm talking about when the game tells you to get ready, and 8 things appear on the screen. More like 8 buttons. 4 on one side and 4 on the other side. The colors are red, green, blue and yellow. If I don't remember wrong, red is up, green is down, not sure about the others. This type of minigame is fun but sometimes even frustrating. You need to hit either the left or right analog stick, according where he tells you. It's easy but you need to be fast and ready. There are parts with Lucas which you will have lives. If you loose them all its game over. You might find some around during exploration. This is the one I mentioned before. It is tricky to press right, since there are 2. You have to be accurate and careful, at the same time fast. If you lose a live when doing this thing, you will return from where the game tells you great!

When playing as Carla or Tyler, mostly with them, not with Lucas, you will have to make people answer your questions. You can choose by using the top screen one. It's a great one. It actually lets you decide. The game offers a lot of variety. There is a little flashback in the game which is important, I little annoying ok, but good. Sometimes there is a time limit to things. For example you have to find or hide some things in the given time. If you don't something bad will happen. It could be game over or the person's moral will lower. Moral can be gained by doing things, right? You will gain + or with the thing you do. It helps a lot if you do these things. Indigo Prophecy is a very deep game in gameplay. Also characters look great and environments as well. The story is simply amazing but some things aren't explained so well. You might end up going in circles to find something. It can boring at times, until you find what you need. There are things in the game that feel useless. When you really take Tyler's role, you'll start in his house, which is unless. Fortunately these things aren't so boring and sometimes are a game change of pace from the true story.

Voice acting is superb and music fits pretty well. There are no fighting or shooting people. The first cutscene where Lucas kills a man, you will have to stare. You won't kill people in the game. That why it's an adventure, no action. I think it's better this way. Indigo Prophecy seems great the way is it.

Graphics, not that great. That is what the game lacks most. That's too bad since this game got also everything right. It's such a shame. One part when you're in the dark, graphics look weak. Sometimes the graphics show how bad they are, when you won't get a clear picture of the area. Either the controls or the camera are a little annoying. When the camera switches view it might become tough to see, especially in far quarters. You have to press the X button to run and you need to keep pressing the direction you want to go. These won't really annoy you, only at the beginning.

With a superb story, great cast, Indigo Prophecy is easily one of the best interactive movie game yet and also the best non-action game for the PS2. The game is also available on the XBOX and PC. It might not have everything right, mostly because of its graphics. But in the end, Indigo Prophecy is a great achievement and it strongly recommended to those who are not looking for a very violent game. Well, mostly for everyone. It's simply an great game. There really should be a sequel to this game, because it simply a terrific adventure game.
