Metachronos overall score:8.5
The good
Very nice story line
The dark prince transformation is very nice
lots of hard puzzles
nice graphics
awsome ninja-like moves to get past obsticles
The bad
Needs more combat
75% of the game is avoiding blades and passing through puzzles
combat isn't that good
Levels can be a bit repetative and you can predict on whats going to happen/where to go
Save points are either too far away or too near from each other
bosses are easy to beat once you get to know the pattern
The game WILL piss you off in one level or another
This is a great game yet I wouldn't suggest it for a combat lover.75% of the game is avoiding blades(which can AND WILL be a bit annoying). The combat system is great...if only their was more combat most of the monsters are the same and you rarly fight any anyways. The most usefull power you have is the ability to slow/reverse time.Well since you will be avoiding a lot of blades I think you know why you need to slow time for....Most of the game you walk/wall run etc on somewhere where if you fall you die...this is where reverse time can be usefull.Even after your dead you can reverse time(which by the way is very cool!) and bring yourself back to life but you have to be carefull on when to use it.
Also sand(the power you need to well...use your powers)is rarly found when needed and found when not needed. Most of the sand are found near a save point or something and not near a gaint super speed rotating blade...luckely when you die and load the game,it always gives you 1 sand tank full. The save points are extremely annoying..Their is this level after a save point...you jump around for about 3-5 minitues..BOOM another save point...and then some of them are just way too far away!(their are checkpoints but if you turn off the game you have to start with the last save point)Their is a level that took me an enither full day to beat and find the save point. Also the game is very realistic and their for hard. You know as in most of the games the items you need/interect with shines or glows or something...in this game it dosn't so its hard to find on what to do..expecialy in dark..sometimes you just need to go with the flow and hope theirs a ledge at the other side of the hole...The prince uses a lot of ninja like moves to pass the game and when he transforms into the dark prince(about 10 times) its really awsome and it may take a while before he transforms back. The transformation gives him black hair and a chain with his usual dagger. thats basicly it so if you like jumping around and stuff this is the game for you
